Landscaping

The New Rainier Vista HOA has contracted with Impact Property Services (IPS) for lawn care in front yards in HOA property.

IPS works in NRV on Fridays. Mowing in front and side yards happens according to this schedule:

  • 2x/month in March
  • 4x/month in April through July
  • 3x/month in August and September
  • 2x/month in October and November
  • 1x/month in December and January

IPS will weed in the common ROW (right-of-ways, also sometimes called parking strips) according to this schedule:

  • 4x/month in March through September
  • 3x/month in October
  • 2x/month in November through February

As always, homeowners are responsible for watering their yards. As the current package of landscape service is lawn only, homeowners are also responsible for keeping all non-turf areas of their yards within the HOA Guidelines.

For clarity, a front yard is defined as the space in front of a home up to the sidewalk. The front yard also includes the side yard (where present) to the rear corner of the home or until a fence or gate to a private back yard is reached. IPS will service front yards with a fence provided they can enter the fenced area easily from the front.

IPS will mow, edge and fertilize as necessary in those HOA front yards where there is lawn or turf. Weed control will be performed in these areas using organic methods. Practically, this means that dandelions will be removed but clover will not.
