Attention Rainier Vista Residents! Are you looking for a community service opportunity? Are you looking to serve right in your own neighborhood? Then we want you!
The YOUTH TUTORING PROGRAM provides afternoon and evening tutoring to children living in Seattle’s low-income public housing communities. Our school year program runs from September through June and serves students in grades 1-12 who live in Seattle low-income housing.
We need hundreds of patient, caring and reliable volunteers LIKE YOU to help kids achieve!
* Volunteers tutor for 1-2 hours, 1 evening per week (or more if you want!)
* Our centers are staffed by teachers and are open afternoons and weeknights.
* We have five Tutoring Centers located throughout Seattle: High Point (W. Seattle), NewHolly (S. Seattle / Holly Park), Rainier Vista (S. Seattle / Rainier Valley), Yesler Terrace (Central Seattle / First Hill), and Jackson Park (N. Seattle).
We accept new tutors all year long and hold new-tutor orientations twice a month!
