Block 4, at the north end of the community, is now actively under construction. The builder is Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit committed to “ending substandard housing” that relies on volunteers for all the labor. To get involved with Habitat generally, check out their Volunteer Information page. To volunteer on the Block 4 site specifically, contact Martha (ext 112) or Margie (ext 111) at 206-292-5240. The site supervisor said they were scheduling about a month in advance. Individual volunteers are welcome (you don’t have to be part of a group and no one needs to organize a big NRV event - although if someone wanted to I bet that would be welcome as well).
